Christmas Scrapbook

Another afternoon of crafting, I'm quite exhausted and I think I have probably over done it -I was going to get some planning done tonight, but I'm just going to rest instead.

I started a Christmas scrapbook for Scarlett's first Christmas, I thought it would be a nice tradition, to get it out of the loft each year and have a look and see what we were doing in past Christmases. However it has never really reached it's full potential. I have written a few brief notes, this year I printed off ALL of the photos from past Christmases and stuck them in, but it isn't how I envisaged. Today that changed! I'm really proud of the entries for this year, they are not perfect, but I think they are a really good 'new start' for our book of festive memories.

This page is us decorating the tree I used Cricut Festive Frolic cartridge for the tags and 'All Spruced Up' writing. I used brown paper for the background, and purple wool for the tags, as this is what all the Christmas presents were wrapped in this year.

This is Christmas Eve/Christmas morning, I think it has a lovely feel to it, I love the holographic mirror board, for the 'All I want for Christmas' it looks so sparkly and shiny, although I'm not sure my spray glue is going to hold it. I need to find an alternative adhesive solution for sticking fiddly things.

The final page is just a selection of photos of everyone at my Mum's on Christmas Day afternoon, I've used some tissue paper in the background and a simple border from the Cricut. I used foam pads to give the pictures some height, and have deliberately placed them a little bit 'wonky'. Again I love the shiny title! Slightly rubbish photo though, sorry!
